From the Provincial & National Councils:

  1. The Provincial Executive has very generously set aside 6 amounts of $400 for members of our Diocese to attend the National Convention in Kelowna. You need to send in your application before June 1 to qualify. (See the attachment)

  2. National is asking for our opinion on the use of the cwl.ca website. Do take the opportunity to let them know what you like or do not like about using the website and how it can be improved. The survey is available at surveymonkey.com/r/CWL-Website-Survey.

  3. As the League continues to spread the use of social media, the national office is looking for a social media manager. Here is part of the ad for the position as posted on the cwl.ca website: The Catholic Women’s League of Canada is seeking a social media manager. The person in this voluntary role will be entrusted with monitoring, executing, and maintaining information and marketing campaigns for the League across several social media platforms. If you are interested see the rest of the ad on the website.

  4. The Year 4 “Collaboration with Faith Organizations” working group has the responsibility to “identify specific faith organizations with similar purpose, core values and missions” and “clarify the manner that collaboration will take place with other faith organizations”. Do you know of anyone who you feel might be suited to and willing to join this working group? See the attached application which must be submitted to projects@cwl.ca on or before April 22nd.

  5. The March For Life in Victoria is scheduled for Thursday, May 12, 2022. The theme this year is “I am”. For members who are unable to get to this major pro-life event, the League has also established the 12 Hours of Prayer for Palliative care. This year’s theme reflects the Bible, where God tells Moses, “I am.” And in John’s gospel (Ch8:57-58), Jesus claims his divinity by saying, “Before Abraham came to be, I AM.”

God gave you a fingerprint that no one else has, so you can leave an imprint that no one else can.

God bless you in your faithful work “For God and Canada”,

Laurel
